Leading Lives

Leading Lives is a social care provider that specialises in supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic adults, as well as others with a social care need across Suffolk, in the home and in the community.

It offers a range of services to meet people’s needs including day services, short break respite care, homecare, supported housing, and social work outreach services.

In 2024 Leading Lives employed a dementia project to address inequities faced by people with learning disabilities as they age. This project has led to the development of new services, and resources for people with learning disabilities to gain support and understanding of what dementia might mean to them.

As an employee-owned, profit for purpose social enterprise, any surplus made is re-invested back into services for customers, into the local community, or to employee owners as a small dividend. All involved in the organisation can be proud of the culture of engagement which stems from being an employee-owned co-operative.

Leading Lives exists to support people to lead the lives they choose, so hearing customers’ voices is vital. The organisation is currently working to ensure that co-production is at the heart of everything it does.
