Prisons and probation settings Helping to reduce re-offending by preparing offenders and ex-offenders to take a new path through employment, education or training. Commissioned by HMPPS, prisons, and local government, and working in more than 50 locations nationally. Schools and colleges Delivering inspiring careers programmes in more than 250 educational settings across the country. Delivering training for school and college careers leaders, and acting as assessors for school careers quality awards. Public, third and private sector organisations Delivering a range of accredited professional training and CPD. Courses range from Level 6 in Information, Advice and Guidance, to the CEC Careers Leaders programme and CPD. Career Connect also undertakes research using frontline insights to support best practice and make positive change. It delivers other innovative programmes funded through grants, trusts and foundations. She has been an intrinsic part of Career Connect’s strategic leadership team since its inception, with key roles in workforce development, quality improvement, commercial services and international business development. Appointed as Career Connect’s first female CEO in January 2023, Sheila is committed to developing career and employability services for the most vulnerable young people and adults at a national, regional and local level, and brings extensive experience in creating, developing and sustaining strategic partnerships and positive relationships at all levels. Sheila is a Trustee with Open Awards and is Vice Chair of Careers England.
