Leaders and senior managers in social enterprises discussed practical ways to enable and create happy workplaces at our September seminar, delivered in partnership with Happy Ltd.

Social entrepreneurs including June O’Sullivan MBE (LEYF), Brendan O’Keefe (Epic CIC), Liz Mouland (First Community Health Care CIC) and Scott Darraugh (Social adVentures) shared their  experiences of creating happy, productive workplaces in a highly interactive event which lived up to its promise of being engaging and fun.

We heard how social enterprises had energised, empowered and motivated their people, built resilience and created positive workplace cultures.

Henry Stewart, Founder, CEO and Chief Happiness Officer at Happy, presented the Happiness Manifesto and we considered how to adopt it – and the challenges when you do.

Participants left with new and practical ideas to build an environment of trust and autonomy which will create fantastic results in their social enterprise.

E3M friend and Social Business International associate, Jamie Veitch, presents a weekly social enterprise show on a Sheffield FM and online radio station.

Jamie came to the event and interviewed Henry Stewart, Chief Happiness Officer at Happy Ltd, for his radio programme – you can listen to the interview with Henry here:

You can also listen to this interview with Scott Darraugh about the impact of implementing the Happy Manifesto:
