She is an experienced charity and social care leader with more than three decades of experience spanning health, social care, housing and the voluntary sector and includes over 18 years’ experience in senior leadership and executive roles. A passionate advocate for the rights, aspirations and wellbeing of children, young people and adults facing complex challenges, including those who have experienced disadvantage, trauma or barriers to opportunity, her leadership is driven by a strong commitment to ensuring people receive the support they need – that everyone belongs, achieves their ambitions and thrives in their communities. Melanie is dedicated to amplifying the voices of people who face disadvantage and ensuring organisations deliver meaningful, lasting impact for the communities they serve. Throughout her career, she has led and commissioned services that improve outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged people, championing inclusion, equality and social justice. Melanie's leadership is underpinned by a belief that organisational success starts with its people. She is dedicated to creating a culture where colleagues feel a genuine sense of belonging, are supported to develop their talents and wellbeing, and are equipped to make a meaningful difference to the lives of others. As Chief Executive, Melanie leads Together Trust's strategic vision, building on its long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality services while continuing to influence positive change through collaboration, innovation and campaigning.
