It is also a college, providing accredited vocational training and alternative schools provision to young people aged 16-24 across Derbyshire, with three centres in Derby, one in Ilkeston and one in Chesterfield.

In addition, YMCA Derbyshire provides family work services, including PPA provision in the form of Physical Education lessons, wraparound care in the form of breakfast, lunch and after schools clubs, as well as various holiday activity clubs.
