United Response

Working across England and Wales, United Response supports over 2,000 adults and young people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions; in 2023 it will celebrate 50 years of operation.

Support is tailored to each individual’s needs and wishes, to help them lead the life they want.

A community-based organisation, with national specialists in health and safety, quality management, practice development and housing, United Response provides everything from 24-hour care to a few hours of support a week, working in partnerships with a range of housing providers, and other professionals in health and social care.

Before joining United Response in 2015, Tim was Chief Executive of Advance, moving there from being Director at the Office for Disability Issues and, prior to that, he was Managing Director of the Work and Independence Division of the Shaw Trust.
